Corneal Imaging & Topography
Corneal topography refers to the shape and evenness of the eye’s surface, which directly affects clarity of sight. An irregular topography can result in visual distortion, which can be managed through specialist contact lenses.
Monitoring topographical changes with the latest corneal imaging technology.
Older methods of analysing corneal topography relied on subjectively grading microscopic observations in order to categorise distortion levels, and determine the best treatment options available.
However, our investment in the latest imaging technology enables us to accurately capture these microscopic images, meaning that we can objectively measure the degree of distortion and monitor topographical differences over time. This helps us detect conditions such as keratoconus. Plus, the imaging system allows us to show you exactly what we can see, helping you better understand the health of your eye and how our recommended treatments work.
